On Tuesday, November 20, Tacony Lodge No. 600 celebrated its 125th Anniversary. A Stated Meeting was held and a lodge of Entered Apprentices was opened at the usual time. The lodge had the privilege to welcome the officers of Masonic District D, Bro. Leonard A. Juliani Jr., District Deputy Grand Master, and Bro. S. Eugene Herritt, Right Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. The RW Grand Master presented Bro. Timothy J. Curran Jr., Worshipful Master, and Tacony Lodge with his medallion and the lodge presented him with a gift and a contribution to the Masonic Library and Museum. Brothers Charles and Eugene Frolich, identical twin brothers, were presented with 50 Year Service Emblems of Gold.
After the meeting, a catered dinner was served in the lodge’s banquet hall. A total of 125 seats were set to commemorate the 125th Anniversary, with 124 seats able to be occupied. The 125th seat was reserved for a missing person, for which the lodge has set up a Prisoner of War and Missing in Action table.
Immediately following dinner, Bro. Curran, WM, opened a Table Lodge where three regular toasts were given and a fourth toast for our nation’s Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action.
A great night was had by all!
